Heidrick & Struggles Appoints Two Outside Directors Business Editors

Adidas-Salomon Chairman Louis-Dreyfus, USWeb/CKS CEO Shaw Join Heidrick & Struggles' Board
Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSII), the world's leading executive search firm, announced today that adidas-Salomon AG Chairman Robert Louis-Dreyfus and USWeb/CKS (Nasdaq: USWB) Chief Executive Officer Robert Shaw have been appointed to its Board of Directors.

Louis-Dreyfus, 53, served as chief executive officer of Saatchi & Saatchi PLC from 1989 to 1993, when he was named Chairman of adidas-Salomon AG. In 1981, he joined a medical marketing firm, IMS International, as chief operating officer and two years later was named CEO. In 1988, the firm was sold to Dun & Bradstreet. From 1974 to 1981, he was managing director of his family's trading company, SA Louis-Dreyfus & Cie. He has an MBA from Harvard University and was designated as one of Business Week Magazine's Top 25 Managers for 1997.
Shaw, 52, was named CEO of USWeb in November 1998 and led the organization through its merger with CKS Group, Inc., earlier this year. Previously, he was executive vice president for worldwide consulting services at Oracle Corp. During his six-year tenure there, the consulting services group's revenues increased significantly. Prior to joining Oracle, Shaw was managing partner for Booz, Allen & Hamilton's San Francisco office, and managing partner in charge of the international technology practice for a subsidiary of Coopers & Lybrand.
