Heidrick & Struggles Nominates Independent Director to Its Board
CHICAGO, April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSII), the world's premier executive search and leadership consulting firm, today announced that its Board of Directors has nominated Douglas C. Yearley to join the Board for a three-year term. He will stand for election at the company's annual meeting of shareholders on May 21, 2003.
Yearley, 67, is Chairman Emeritus of the Phelps Dodge Corporation, a global leader in the mining and manufacturing industries. At Phelps Dodge, he was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer from 1989 to 2000. Prior to that, he held several management positions within Phelps Dodge after joining that company as a development engineer in 1960.
Yearley currently is a director of Lockheed Martin, Marathon Oil Company, and United States Steel. He was a director on the board of J.P. Morgan from 1993 to 2000.
