Professional Profile

Celebrating over 20 years at Heidrick & Struggles based out of the New York office and an active member of the Global Media & Entertainment, Technology, and Private Equity & Venture Capital practices.

Formerly the managing partner of the firm's Brussels and Amsterdam offices, Jean-Louis began at Heidrick & Struggles in the Paris office. He is a founder of both the firm's European Information Technology and Transnational practices.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles in 1984, Jean-Louis was director of recruitment for Booz Allen Hamilton in Paris, New York, and Tokyo. Earlier career highlights include serving as human resources manager-Europe for Jacques Borel International, as an associate with another executive search firm, and as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co.

Jean-Louis is listed among the top 200 Executive Recruiters in the world in the book The Global 200 Executive Recruiters by Nancy Garrison-Jenn. Born in Paris, he is fluent in French and English.

Education

Jean-Louis has a degree from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales and an MBA in operations research from the University of California, Berkeley.
