L. Kevin Kelly is Chief Executive Officer of Heidrick & Struggles, the world’s premier Leadership Advisory firm, which partners with organizations globally to acquire, develop, challenge and sustain leadership talent. He also is a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Under Mr. Kelly’s strategic leadership, Heidrick & Struggles has leveraged its 60-year history as the world’s leading Executive Search firm to expand its service offerings and platform to advise clients on all of their leadership needs. The company’s nearly 1,450 employees serve a broad range of clients through more than 50 offices across the globe.
Mr. Kelly brings extensive experience to his current position. Prior to being named CEO in 2006, he built a highly successful career as a search consultant where he advised corporate leadership teams from some of the world’s most innovative companies. He also held several key regional leadership positions within the firm.
Mr. Kelly began his career as a search consultant in 1993 and joined the Tokyo office of Heidrick & Struggles as a Partner in 1997. He was named Regional Managing Partner of the Asia Pacific region in 2001 and served as President of the firm’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region from 2004 to 2006.
In addition to spending considerable time with clients to ensure that Heidrick & Struggles continues to stay at the forefront of the Leadership industry, Mr. Kelly represents the firm in a number of external venues, including the World Economic Forum, a global organization dedicated to bringing business, political, academic and other leaders together to address key issues.
Mr. Kelly is a frequent speaker on global talent issues and is regularly interviewed by leading news organizations. He is also the author of three books on leadership: CEO – The Low Down on the Top Job, Top Jobs – How They Are Different and What You Need to Succeed and Leading in Turbulent Times.
