Ignacio Bello joined Heidrick & Struggles in 1989. He was office managing partner of the firm's Madrid office from 1997 until January 2002.

In recent years, Ignacio has worked with some of the most important Spanish pharmaceutical laboratories and FMCG companies, helping them build not only competitive management teams, but also modern and flexible organizations. He specializes in the healthcare and consumer industries. Ignacio's career prior to Heidrick & Struggles spanned 20 years and three major multinational companies, Laboratorios Lepetit (later Hoechst Marion Roussel, S.A., currently Aventis), General Foods and Kraft.

The experience he acquired during this time in the areas of human resources, marketing and sales has given Ignacio an excellent global vision of the healthcare and consumer markets and a precise comprehension of the necessities of the modern industry within a permanently changing environment.

Ignacio's working languages are Spanish, French and English.

After a two-year stay in a Saharan Africa village conducting linguistic studies, Ignacio returned to Spain and obtained degrees in philosophy and clinical psychology at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, as well as a master's degree in human resources from ICADE.
