Les T. Csorba is a partner with Heidrick & Struggles where he leads the Houston office. He is a member of both the firm’s Industrial and the CEO & Board of Directors practicex focusing on the petroleum industry. Prior to his experience in the executive search business, Les served in the White House as a special assistant to the president of the United States for presidential personnel during the George H.W. Bush administration.
In 2012, Les and his team were awarded “The Heidrick & Struggles Global Craftsmanship Award,” the firm’s highest honor for quality execution. He has also conducted senior level search work for such leading non-profits and public-sectors organizations. Les’ executive search work is focused on senior-level assignments in the petroleum industry. He has conducted president, COO, CEO, board, non-profits and public-sectors organizations.
An active energy industry participant, Les is a member of the Houston Producers' Forum and is a frequent speaker and writer on leadership issues. He is the author of TRUST: The One Thing That Makes or Breaks a Leader (Thomas Nelson, 2004), and his articles have appeared in Corporate Board Member Magazine, The Wall Street Journal's “National Employment Weekly”, the Houston Chronicle, the Chicago Tribune, USA Today and others. His appearances on the subject of leadership and corporate governance have included interviews on FOX News, MSNBC, and CNBC with Maria Bartiromo.
Les is an active member of the community where he serves as chairman of the board of Yellowstone Academy, a faith-based inner-city school in Houston. He is also on the Texas Children’s Hospital (West Campus) advisory board. In 2007, Les was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships.
