Paul Benson is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and is a member of the global Energy and Utilities practices and leads the Power & Utility sector.
Paul conducts corporate governance and executive level search assignments for electric and gas utilities, independent system operators, independent power producers, as well as heavy/civil construction companies. He focuses on filling top management positions including chief executives, non-executive directors, senior-level finance officers, chief nuclear officers, project/business development managers, and external affairs.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Paul spent over ten years in consumer products marketing with such companies as HP Hood, Mennen, and The Perrier Group of America.
Paul has spoken at the annual EEI convention on corporate governance and the Global Women’s Conference for Energy and Technology. He has also written feature articles for Fortnightly and Middle East Utilities magazines on how to manage the talent shortage within the global nuclear sector.
