Tim Boerkoel is a core member of the Retail and Apparel sector in North America. He offers specialized strengths in the retail, manufacturing, textile, and luxury goods industries. He joined Heidrick & Struggles as a partner in 2000. He is also a member of the Consumer Products and Chief Human Resource Officers practices.
Based in New York, Tim's career combines an extensive background in executive search consulting with corporate management experience. He has successfully recruited presidents and senior-level executives for leading corporations as well as for emerging growth and privately held companies.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Tim was with the search firm Herbert Mines Associates, where he was managing director. Before that, he served as executive director of another large executive search firm's consumer products division and was accountable for co-leading the retail practice for North America.
Prior to moving into executive search, Tim held a number of senior appointments spanning merchandising, operations, store administration and human resources for the GAP Inc. and Dayton Hudson.
