Juha-Pekka Ahtikari is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles' Helsinki office and a member of the Chief Executive Officer & Board of Directors, Industrial and Consumer Markets practice groups.

Having been in executive search since 1986, Juha-Pekka focuses on top management and board positions with an international scope as well as providing leadership consulting services.

Juha-Pekka joined Heidrick & Struggles as a managing partner of the Helsinki Office in 2001. Prior to joining the firm, Juha-Pekka was senior partner at Amrop International in Helsinki. In addition to building international accounts and client relationships, Juha-Pekka was involved in establishing and developing successful local and international level executive search operations in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tallinn and Riga. He started his executive search career at Goddard Kay Rodgers’ affiliate in Finland. In his early career Juha-Pekka served as an independent consultant in the information technology sector and as a junior lawyer in a law firm.

Juha-Pekka has been recognized in the Global 200 Executive Recruiters Guide. He served as a member of the executive board of Amrop International EMEA Region from 1996 to 1998, was one of the founders of the Executive Recruiters Association of Finland and is a former member of the Board of Young Lawyers Association of Finland.

Education

Juha-Pekka graduated from the University of Helsinki Law School with an LL.M degree. He speaks Finnish, Swedish, English and German.
