Aysegül Aydin is a member of several global industry practice groups relating to her client focus in the banking, consumer, life sciences, energy, and industry sectors. She is also a member of various functional practices including Leadership Consulting; CEO & Board of Directors; Financial Officers; Marketing, Sales & Strategy Officer, and Chief Human Resources Officer practices.
As of January 2001, Aysegül assumed the country managing partner and board director roles for Heidrick & Struggles Turkey. Since 2001, She has been working on both executive search and leadership consulting projects including assessment, succession planning, and talent management. She also focuses on board level work, concentrating on board structuring and search for independent board members. She is a licensed executive leadership assessor.
Prior to her executive search practice, Aysegül worked for 13 years in the multinational arena for Procter & Gamble (P&G), British American Tobacco (BAT) and Bali Trading Group of Companies, mainly in sales, marketing and management functions. She commenced her early career as a marketing manager in the Bali Retail Group, followed by five years with P&G in sales-marketing management positions. Her years with P&G allowed her to work hand-in-hand with various international and local functions such as sales, trade marketing, brand marketing, finance, production, logistics and planning. She has consecutively managed product categories as well as P&G Turkey’s international key accounts.
Later, Aydın worked for two years as an expatriate within sales, trade marketing and distribution functions in BAT’s Latin American and European operations. She also acted as a member of the executive board of BAT Turkey. Having been offered the trade marketing regional director post for North Africa, Eastern Europe, CIS, Middle East and Turkey at BAT, Aydın decided to leave BAT to co-found an international executive search company in Turkey in 1996.
