Tim Holt is a managing partner at Heidrick & Struggles based in the firm’s New York office. He leads the global Risk functional practice and co-leads the North America Financial Services Practice.
Tim draws on thirteen years of leadership advisory experience and leads a number of the firm’s key client relationships. He has advised nearly exclusively financial services organizations including global and regional diversified firms as well as alternative investment, asset management, consumer and commercial finance, insurance, investment banking and private equity institutions. He has advised both small and large organizations at all stages of their organizational evolution from small startups to large, complex, well-established global businesses.
Since joining Heidrick & Struggles in 2001, Tim has established a portfolio of work focused on helping clients address enterprise-wide issues primarily in functional areas such as audit, compliance, control, finance, legal, operations and risk to include credit, market, operational, regulatory, security and enterprise risk disciplines. Tim also has experience leading searches for presidents and CEOs both at the group and divisional level, as well as search experience in not-for-profit, professional associations, and boards of directors.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Tim was a recruiter with another major executive search firm, where for more than three years he focused primarily on recruiting senior capital markets, investment banking, and private equity professionals. Before entering the executive search industry, he was a national accounts relationship manager with Lexis-Nexis in New York and earlier Tim progressed through various sales and managerial roles at Rand McNally, and at Gulf States Paper Corporation.
