Jonathan Hoyt is a member of Heidrick & Struggles' Leadership Consulting Practice and is an advisor to senior executives on leadership development and talent management. His areas of expertise include executive assessment and team performance.
Jonathan joined Heidrick & Struggles from Katzenbach Partners, a leading organizational strategy firm. At Katzenbach, he led client engagements and worked closely with Jon Katzenbach, author of The Wisdom of Teams and a thought leader on team performance, on several team-related projects. He also drove the development of the firm's suite of assessment tools for leadership and team performance.
Previously, Jonathan held sales and marketing roles in two companies providing e-learning and human capital management - Ninth House and Worknowledge. He has designed and led leadership development experiences for a range of clients. Earlier in his career, he served as a policy maker in the US Department of Education under the leadership of Secretary Richard W. Riley and worked with Louis Harris, one of the early pioneers of public opinion research.
In addition to his client work at Heidrick & Struggles, Jonathan has led research initiatives on the characteristics of effective leaders in China and on the factors influencing the performance of top management teams. He speaks both Spanish and Mandarin Chinese and has worked in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
