Professional Profile

Stafford Bagot is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles' Sydney office and leads the Engineering, Construction & Infrastructure Practice in APAC. He joined Heidrick & Struggles in 2006 as a senior associate in the Board of Directors Practice. Since joining the firm he has had the privilege to work an array of clients, particularly those who are private equity backed as well as listed and large multinationals.

More recently his focus has been within the industrial and life sciences sector, specifically providing leadership advisory services to construction and healthcare companies. Stafford is also passionate about diversity and boardroom talent and has worked with chairman and directors specifically around succession planning and effective board composition.

Immediately prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Stafford lived in Ireland and worked with MERC Partners where he executed assignments across a number of industries including financial services, manufacturing, construction, and life sciences. Prior to working with MERC Partners, Stafford worked with Ernst & Young and Millward Brown in Dublin and Sydney.

Education

Stafford has a business studies degree from the University of Technology Sydney where he majored in marketing and management.
