A member of Heidrick & Struggles' global Leadership Consulting Practice, Michael Krot is a leadership advisor to senior executives in global Fortune 500 companies, advising enterprise leaders on the alignment of their talent strategy with their business strategy.
Michael also provides expertise and experience in the design and delivery of data-driven, customized solutions in the areas of executive assessment, senior management team effectiveness, and CEO succession planning. He is particularly passionate about designing and delivering state-of-the-art accelerated leadership development programs to unleash the potential of emerging leaders.
Michael began his career as an officer and operating manager in the United States Navy based in Japan. After serving in the military for six years, he completed graduate studies in business and education at Stanford University and joined McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant. Subsequently, Michael worked as an organizational consultant in the human assets business unit at The Monitor Group, where he was a core member of a team that designed and delivered accelerated leadership development programs for high potential leaders in Fortune 500 companies.
Since joining Heidrick & Struggles, Michael has worked on a wide range of leadership consulting engagements, including CEO succession planning, CEO assessment, board of directors assessment, top management team effectiveness, executive assessment, post-merger integration advisory and executive assessment, talent strategy and process improvement, and executive on-boarding.
