Alex is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles' London office and a member of the firm's Education & Social Enterprise Practice since 2007. He has more than 16 years of experience in the recruitment industry.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Alex was with another global search firm since 2000. Since 2001, his focus is primarily on recruiting leaders of independent schools, universities and for-profit education businesses, working with a wide range of clients. He has also worked on and led a number of searches for deans of business schools.
In addition to recruiting for universities and schools, Alex has experience of working for the wider not-for-profit sector including government, charities and health.
Alex is a governor of Goodenough College and a member of its audit and remuneration committees and founded the New Edinburgh Orchestra in 1994.
