Alex Acland is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles' London office and is a member of the Education & Social Enterprise Practice. He has eleven years' experience in the executive search industry and focuses on the higher education sector at chief executive and vice-chancellor level.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Alex worked for another executive search firm where he helped build diverse senior management teams. In addition to filling university positions, he also worked with schools and the wider nonprofit sector including charities and health.

Previously, Alex worked for Robert Walters plc as a consultant for four years.

Education

Alex obtained a bachelor's of divinity from the University of Edinburgh and has a basic knowledge of French.
