Gareth McIlroy is the Leadership Consulting regional managing partner based in the Singapore office. His key area of expertise is in the design and implementation of senior executive initiatives which address internal development needs, whilst supporting the business to deliver superior results. Gareth uses his natural coaching skills in working with senior executives to not only identify and assess their leadership development needs, but also to support them as they focus on specific skills to enhance their leadership effectiveness.
Gareth has built an impressive track record assisting senior executives from major multinationals and governmental agencies all over the world, delivering programs in the US, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. He has designed and led developmental programs for a diverse group of clients, including a major initiative carried out by the United Nations.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Gareth was a main board director responsible for training at TWP, a training and consultancy firm with offices throughout Asia. During his 12 years with them he played a key role in their effective expansion into new markets across Asia.
Gareth relocated to Asia from Europe 16 years ago, and has lived in Malaysia and Thailand, before finally taking up residency in Singapore 10 years ago. Prior to his move to Asia, he had worked in London as a project manager for a large international construction company.
