Rose Baker is the managing partner, Canada and a member of Heidrick and Struggles’ global financial services leadership team.
Rose is a senior member of the CEO & Board of Directors Practice and the global Financial Services Practice, specializing in investment banking, capital markets, private equity, asset & wealth management industries.
Prior to her career in executive search, Rose spent nearly 17 years at the Royal Bank of Canada, where she held a variety of leadership positions, the last of which was president and COO of RBC Private Counsel, Canada’s largest private client investment counseling firm.
During her tenure in investment banking with RBC, Rose was a managing director and led major public company relationships in the media, consumer products, industrial products and retail industries, and counseled clients on business strategy and corporate organizational issues. In addition, Rose led major teams of professionals in the successful completion of significant corporate transactions including initial public offerings, debt and equity financings, acquisitions and divestitures.
Rose is currently the vice-chair of the board for The Speech and Stuttering Institute and sits on the advisory board of the Art Gallery of Ontario, on the advisory board of St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, and is a past board member of The National Ballet of Canada.
