Richard Meiklejohn is a partner in the firm's Hong Kong office, responsible for leadership services. Richard has over 20 years of professional and leadership experience in Asia Pacific’s developed and emerging markets, and combines a unique blend of advisory, management, sales, and consulting experience with companies and clients throughout the globe.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Richard managed IBM’s partner business in performance management responsible for Asia Pacific, and has held various senior sales management and leadership roles with firms ranging in size from small start-ups, to large multinationals. Richard has worked with clients across industries helping them build performance management systems from an operational and organizational perspective, as well as working with individuals and teams in performance coaching and leadership effectiveness.
Richard also has twelve years experience as a management consultant, including nine years with PricewaterhouseCoopers working on projects throughout Asia with senior executives in the private and public sector developing their strategy, talent management, organization development, and market-entry plans for growth in the region.
Having lived and worked his entire career in the Asia Pacific region including Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Singapore, and most recently Hong Kong, Richard brings domain knowledge from both a global and Asian perspective across a wide array of industries such as technology, services, finance, telecommunications and manufacturing.
