Lilias Bell is a partner with the Asia Pacific Education & Social Enterprise Practice (ESE) based in Wellington, New Zealand. Having joined Heidrick & Struggles through the acquisition of her firm, Bell McCaw Bampfylde (BMB), Lilias focuses primarily on the ESE Practice with an active role in the Financial Services and Global Technology & Services practices.

Lilias' extensive career in search started with two international boutique search firms in London. After a successful career with them where she worked with some of UK's leading companies, Lilias immigrated to New Zealand with her young family. Soon after settling down in her new home, Lilias established an independent boutique executive search firm, Bell McCaw Bampfylde with a partner. With her network of contacts, BMB rose in the ranks in a short period of time to become a market leader with successful searches with major universities in New Zealand and the public sector under their belt. With over twenty five years of search experience, Lilias is recognized as one of New Zealand’s top recruiter in the education, public sector as well as financial services and telecommunications industry.

Lilias gained her BSc Honors in psychology from St. Andrews University and studied at Emory College in Atlanta, Georgia as a Bobby Jones Scholar. She is also a trustee of the Young Enterprise Trust, a member of the Board of Governors of Queen Margaret College and a member of New Zealand Global Women.
