Richard is a principal within the Financial Services Practice in Hong Kong specializing in executive search assignments for senior sales, trading and research professionals across global markets, and for human resources leaders within financial services.

Richard joined Heidrick & Struggles in early 2010 bringing with him over a decade of experience in executive search and a wealth of experience working with some of the world’s top executives in financial services. Richard has successfully completed search assignments in all areas of banking, markets and infrastructure and has managed assignments in all of the major finance hubs in Asia.

Prior to joining Heidrick and Struggles, Richard spent four years at Morgan Stanley as Asia head of recruitment. At Morgan Stanley, Richard oversaw all recruitment activity in Asia through the management of teams in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai, and had hands on responsibility for the recruitment activity of Morgan Stanley’s global markets, investment banking and investment management divisions.

Richard began his recruitment career in 1999 in London where he was attached to another global search firm in the financial services sector. Before moving to Hong Kong, he was stationed in Sydney for three years, arriving in Hong Kong in 2005. He began his professional life working in asset finance for the Alliance and Leicester Group in the UK.
