Professional Profile

Jonathan Goldstein is a partner of the global Private Equity Practice at Heidrick & Struggles, based in the firm’s New York City office.

For over a decade, Jonathan has been advising alternative asset firms on their recruitment, leadership and talent needs. His clients have included buyout firms special situation funds, credit opportunity funds, hedge funds, fund of funds and secondary funds.

Prior to executive search, Jonathan was a vice president at Sun Capital Partners, a middle-market buyout firm focusing on distressed investing. He began his career working in the private equity markets of the former Soviet Union, where he was a fund manager with the AIG Brunswick Millennium Fund and New Century Holdings. Jonathan is fluent in Russian.

Education

Jonathan earned his master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business, master's degree in international studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and bachelor of arts degree in Russian Literature from Brown University.
