Rosario Maria is a principal with Heidrick & Struggles in the Toronto office and is a member of the global Mining & Metals Practice. Rosario Maria works closely with domestic and international organizations in attracting top talent to their teams. Her experience includes corporate and operational search assignments located in several countries in the Americas.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Rosario Maria was client partner-mining & metals with TRANSEARCH where she successfully completed searches in Canada, the USA and Latin America. Before entering the executive search business, Rosario Maria worked in corporate human resources for one of the largest Canadian natural resource companies, Falconbridge Ltd (Xstrata Plc) headquartered in Toronto. She started her career in Perú with Empresa Minera del Centro del Perú - Centromin.
Originally, from La Oroya, Perú, Rosario Maria grew up in several mining sites in Peru’s central highlands and has a vast understanding of Latin America’s socio-economic and legal issues.
Rosario Maria is an active member in several industry organizations including Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), and Women in Mining (WIM).
