Andy Smith is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office and leads the Asset Management Practice across the EMEA region. He is also a member of the global Financial Services Practice.
Andy conducts senior level searches for CEOs and general managers, senior investment leaders and investors across all asset classes and functions, as well as institutional, wholesale and retail distribution leaders on a global basis. He has a successful track record of team liftouts. In conjunction with the firm’s CEO & Board of Directors and Leadership Consulting practices, Andy also advises clients on management succession, executive onboarding and senior level compensation and retention challenges.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Andy was a managing director at a global executive search boutique and was responsible for building the firm’s European business from inception. Previously, he was a partner at a financial services boutique firm where he established and developed the firm’s asset management practice.
Andy began his earlier career at Seascope Shipping, brokering global sales and purchase transactions of deep sea oil tankers and bulk carriers.
