Jin Xu is a member of the Alternative & Renewable Energy Practice and is currently based in Beijing. With nearly 14 years of experiences in the energy sector, she serves global and domestic companies, including oil & gas, alternative & renewable, power and coal, etc., and energy related industries.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Jin was vice president of Arthur D Little (ADL), then Schlumberger’s Business Consulting (SBC) operations in China. She advised national, international, and private oil companies in the oil & gas space on growth strategies, human resources development strategies, organization structures and technical issues. She was also responsible for setting up ADL’s energy practice in China.
Jin dedicated the first 11 years of her career to leading IHS Energy’s (IHS Inc.) market entry into China, later becoming a key member in the firm’s senior management team in the Asia Pacific Region. From 2001, Jin had duel-managerial roles at IHS as regional business director and chief representative of China operations. Through Cambridge Energy Research Associates - CERA (an IHS company), she provided high-level strategic & advisory consulting services to the industry.
Jin's industry knowledge and network ranges from client operational to C-levels. Her professional background in both China and the UK enable her to add unique value to clients for assignments in China and to the Heidrick & Struggles Asia Pacific energy team.
