Sujata Deshmukh is a principal in the firm's Leadership Consulting Practice working from the Mumbai, India office. She is passionate about helping clients conceptualize and drive change across the organization, and about helping leaders guide their teams towards high levels of performance. She enjoys leveraging her skills as an effective catalyst to create momentum around new ideas.
Sujata has more than 14 years of experience, 12 of which have been with management consulting with firms like ECS Ltd (now a PriceWaterhouse Coopers firm) and Mercer. She has served clients primarily in India, as well as South East Asia and the Middle East, primarily in the financial services and infrastructure industries. She was an associate director at PwC, heading their practice in the Western region, responsible for overseeing the business, clients and the consulting team.
Sujata has worked across many sectors including consumer, financial services, media and entertainment, engineering, infrastructure, and life sciences in nearly all aspects of HR consulting such as OD interventions: leadership development, talent management, performance management, HR process design, HR function effectiveness, culture, articulating values and vision, real time strategic change™.
Examples of her work include helping organizations with failing performance turn around, identifying and developing leadership teams to succeed in new environments, identifying new business models, creating a leadership pipeline in organizations, designing HR processes for enhanced scale, defining goals and performance management systems, and designing organization structure.
Sujata has worked on interesting aspects of mapping cognitive ability to identify potential, and has used several psychometric tools to profile senior leaders. She has assessed and profiled more than 750 managers and coached several leaders to enhance their effectiveness.
Prior to her work in leadership consulting Sujata worked with Asian Paints, a leading global paints company.
