Dr. Judith MacCormick is a partner in the CEO & Board Practice of Heidrick & Struggles in Sydney. She undertakes board searches, and works with the Leadership Consulting team to advise on board effectiveness, particularly around issues of corporate governance, leadership, organisational climate and decision-making. Judith also works with the Education & Social Enterprise Practice in the education, welfare, arts and charitable sectors in Australia.
Judith’s experience spans the public, private and education and social enterprise sectors. Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, she facilitated programs for company directors and boards at the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and MBA and executive programs at the University of NSW, AGSM, and the University of Sydney in Australia and Hong Kong.
Judith has worked in Australia, Europe and Asia in senior management positions in banking and global consulting firms, consulting to both the private and public sectors. She has been and is currently a director on a number of boards in Australia and overseas.
A former Sasakawa Leadership Scholar, Judith is also a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD), and chair of Queenwood School. As a post-doctoral research fellow at the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales, Judith has published many articles and papers on the factors influencing organisational performance and leadership.
Judith also established two leading Japanese restaurants and a sushi bar in Sydney.
