L. Kevin Kelly is CEO of Heidrick & Struggles, the global executive search and leadership advisory firm.

During his distinguished career as a search consultant, Kevin has helped shape corporate leadership teams for some of the world's most innovative companies.

Kevin believes passionately that the challenges of our world call for a new approach to leadership and talent: that we will need a complex and diverse range of skills and people to lead tomorrow's successful companies. Kevin coaches clients through these challenges, and identifies executives who can create the optimum culture to drive commercial success.

Active in search since 1993, Kevin joined Heidrick & Struggles in Tokyo; he was Regional Managing Partner of Asia Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, before becoming Chief Executive Officer in September 2006.


Education
Kevin holds a bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where he serves on the Board of Supervisors.

Kevin's book: CEO - The Low Down on the Top Job was published in the UK earlier this year: drawing on his own views and those of some of the world's top Chief Executives, the book explores what it takes to lead a global organization in the twenty-first century. The US version, Top Jobs - How they are Different and What you Need to Succeed was published in February 2009. Kevin is currently working on his second book which addresses the challenges CEOs face in tough economic times, and how best to navigate, and even capitalize, upon them.
