Reid Morrison is a Houston-based Partner in the firm's Global Industrial Practice focused primarily on energy and chemicals. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, he was a Senior Vice President at BearingPoint, led their global energy and chemicals practice, and was on the Management Committee. Reid has over 18 years of consulting experience and has worked in upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas, energy trading, oilfield services and manufacturing, power (regulated and deregulated, generation, transmission and distribution, and wholesale/retail), specialty and bulk chemicals, mining, and engineering and construction industries. His client work has been in North America, Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

Before joining BearingPoint, he was a Partner at Andersen Business Consulting responsible for the Human Capital and Change Management practice. He led many projects to align the objectives of the HR function with the business strategy and objectives. Following the strategy phase, he worked with his clients to restructure the HR organization, identify the right leadership capabilities and team, reengineer the processes, revise the budget, costs, and ROI, and upgrade the technology and applications.

His consulting concentrated on "operationalizing" the client's strategy under the sponsorship of the CEO and/or executive leadership team. Typical of his engagements were restructurings, M&A integrations, operating model transformations, operational excellence programs, profitability improvements, turnarounds, enterprise process and technology reengineering, and human resource strategies and organizations.

His clients have included Chevron, Exelon, Petrobras, Lukoil, Tesoro, McDermott, Halliburton, KBR, Valero, Total, Florida Power and Light, PG&E, SoCal Edison, Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, Celanese, Air Products, Borden Chemicals, Reliant Energy, CenterPoint Energy, and PEMEX.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southwestern University and Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The University of Tulsa.

Reid has led projects in Russia, Nigeria, Brazil, Western Europe, Mexico, and Canada in the energy industry.
