Takashi Kameda is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles' Global Technology & Services Practice, supporting clients across the technology and services sectors in Japan. He has 25 years of experience in technology and services in Japan and the US, including in-depth business expertise across venture capital, business development and operations functions.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Takashi was engaged in consulting, investment and business development activities in the greentech space. Most recently, Takashi was director of business development for Google Japan as a member of the country executive management team. Before that, he spent 17 years with ITOCHU Corporation, one of Japan’s largest multinationals, where he was engaged in business development work across the IT industry in various capacities including roles at affiliated partner companies like Sun Microsystem and senior executive roles in several ITOCHU group companies. Takashi’s career with ITOCHU culminated in the position of senior vice president of the company’s Silicon Valley operation, leading many venture investment activities in the US for years across software, services, and communications. Takashi’s track record includes several successful IPO and M&A exits.
Takashi holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BSE in mechanical engineering from WASEDA University.
