Bruce Kimble is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Menlo Park, California office. With more than 20 years of industry experience in Silicon Valley and technology companies, he focuses on senior level search assignments for companies in the semiconductor and electronics systems industries. He concentrates on the recruitment of general managers, marketing, product development and operations executives including vice president of marketing, vice president of business development, vice president and general manager, vice president of operations and chief technology officer.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Bruce was a principal consultant with a boutique search firm based in southern California. Earlier, Bruce was CEO of Aktino, a telecommunications chip and equipment startup in Irvine, California. At Aktino, Bruce led the company from inception through market entry and early revenue. He also raised $30 million in venture capital and built the marketing, sales, engineering, and operations teams. Previously, he was general manager of a $200 million per year business unit at Pairgain Technologies, a semiconductor and systems company based in Tustin, California. He has consulted and taught courses widely and is the author of a Prentice Hall book on digital signal processing.
Bruce is an active member of the Forum for Corporate Directors, the IEEE Solid State Circuits Society and the Global Semiconductor Alliance Cap-Lite Working Group. In addition, he is an advisor to the Brandman University Entrepreneurship program.
Bruce earned an MSEE from University of Southern California and a BS in electronics engineering from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
