Elizabeth Langel is an principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the Financial Services Practice. She specializes in recruiting senior risk management talent across investment, corporate, and commercial banking, as well as capital markets, asset and wealth management, insurance and alternatives platforms. She serves global as well as regional firms across the spectrum of diversified to specialized firms.
Elizabeth has more than 12 years of leadership advisory experience. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Elizabeth was with another executive search firm, where she worked with clients across the buy and sell side, focused on a variety of functional areas, including risk management, sales and trading, commercial banking, capital raising, corporate finance and investment banking, and private equity.
She is an active volunteer with The Covenant House, a shelter for homeless youth, The Posse Foundation, a non-profit that supports college education for inner city children, and The Komera Project, an organization that supports women’s education in Rwanda. She is also a member of the alumni association of the Nightingale Bamford School and a member of the Junior League of New York.
Elizabeth earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Roanoke College.
