Elizabeth Langel

Overview

Elizabeth Langel is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the Financial Services Practice, responsible for coordinating the risk management sector. She specializes in recruiting senior risk management talent across the broad financial services spectrum. Her portfolio of work includes chief risk officers, heads of market, credit, operational and other non-financial risk as well as risk analytics and model risk management.

 

Experience

In addition, Elizabeth specializes in senior strategy roles, serving global financial services platforms and strategy consulting firms. Elizabeth also leads the Global Philanthropy Committee for Heidrick & Struggles, which is the governing body of how we as a firm give back to the communities we work and live in.

Elizabeth has more than 15 years of leadership advisory experience. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Elizabeth was with another global search firm, where she worked with clients across the buy and sell side, focused on a variety of functional areas including risk management, strategy, sales and trading, commercial banking, capital raising, corporate finance and investment banking, and private equity.

Philanthropy and Service

She is a member of the Advocates Board for The Covenant House, a shelter for homeless youth, and a member of the Associates Board for The Komera Project, an organization that supports women’s education in Rwanda. In 2017, she was nominated into the 30% Club, a multi-industry organization focused on identifying and promoting women into board seats.
