Shannon Lee is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles' Global Industry Practice, based in the firm's Shanghai office. He is focused on serving the leadership needs of both global multinational corporations and local conglomerates for key management positions in the region. Shannon works within manufacturing, metals, mining, building products and industrial services industries. He also specialises in sales, strategy, M&A, legal and facilities services functions.
Prior to joining Heidrick and Struggles, Shannon was a sales director for the Greater China regiona at G4S, a worldwide outsourcing and security company, where he led the company's sales, marketing and strategy functions in the region.
Before his time at G4S, Shannon worked at BlueScope Steel, where he was the vice president of strategy in Asia, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and major capital projects. Before that, he was the vice president of sales and business development for BlueScope's China business.
Early in his career, Shannon worked as a management consultant with L.E.K. Consulting, advising Fortune 500 companies on mergers and acquisitions, market entry, product development, valuation, growth strategy, and profitability improvement. Shannon was born and educated in Australia, and has Singaporean heritage.
He holds degrees in law and commerce (economics) from the University of Melbourne.
