Shannon Lee is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Shanghai office. A member of the Industrial Practice, he serves the leadership needs of global MNCs and local conglomerates for key management positions in the region. He focuses on manufacturing, metals, mining, construction, and industrial services.
Shannon has had a long career as an executive in the industrial sector. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, he was sales director, Greater China, for G4S, a global outsourcing and security company, where he led the company’s sales, marketing, and strategy functions in the region.
Prior to G4S, Shannon worked at BlueScope Steel for eight years where Shannon was the vice president of strategy in Asia, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and major capital projects. Before that, he was the vice president of sales and business development for BlueScope’s China business.
Early in his career, Shannon worked as a management consultant with L.E.K. Consulting, advising Fortune 500 companies on mergers and acquisitions, market entry, product development, valuation, growth strategy, and profitability improvement. Shannon was born and educated in Australia, and has Singaporean heritage.
He holds degrees in law and commerce (economics) from the University of Melbourne.
