Markus Wiesner

Overview

Markus Wiesner is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Dubai and Singapore offices and the regional managing partner of Heidrick Consulting for Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Emerging Markets. As a member of the global consulting leadership team, he is responsible for developing and implementing the go-to-market strategy and operating model for the firm’s fastest-growing markets.

Experience

Markus is a trusted advisor to senior executives and boards on strategic organizational and HR matters, with a proven ability to link strategy to the people agenda and create bottom-line business results. With more than 20 years of experience in consulting, his technical expertise spans organizational design and change, leadership assessment and development, large-scale HR transformations, culture shaping, and top team effectiveness.

Markus has completed projects in more than 30 countries with major global and regional organizations. Most recently, his consulting work focuses on helping boards and senior teams to refine their leadership style and collaboration.

Markus is an ICF-accredited coach and a member of the faculty of the Board of Directors Institute.

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Markus was the CEO for the Middle East and Africa at Aon Hewitt. Prior to that, he spent a decade at Mercer, where he was the managing director for their Middle East business after managing their Austrian operations.

Markus taught organizational design and decision-making in the MBA program at The University of Vienna.
