Dan Cullen is the partner in charge of Heidrick & Struggles’ Singapore office and a member of the global technology & services and education practices in the Asia Pacific region.
As a key member of the Technology & Services Practice in Asia, Dan has expertise working with firms as they facilitate transformation in cloud, big data, digital and mobility. Across Asia, he holds expertise in working with private equity portfolio firms in IT services & outsourcing, technology, business services, consulting joint-ventures in China, corporate development and strategy roles.
Dan also leads the education sector in the Southeast Asia region and he has a particular strength in working with private equity funds and strategic investors in this area. He has worked across the higher education, K-12 and private education sector and has worked with clients on president, provost and vice chancellor roles. In the education markets sector he has led engagements for CEO, COO, sales & marketing and academic roles. He has managed assignments in the UK, Europe, Southeast Asia and China (including recent JV experience, founding CEOs and heads of school roles). He recently completed a governance review for an international school in Asia and a competitor and partnership analysis for a public policy institute.
Previously, Dan worked with a subsidiary of a large global executive search firm in London and Singapore, operating as senior associate and head of research in Asia.
Dan is a qualified Barrister-at-Law and holds a bachelor’s (Hons) in modern history from Wadham College, Oxford University.
