Daniel Filet is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Amsterdam office and a member of the Industrial Practice. He focuses primarily on senior executive roles for material handling, construction equipment & building products, renewable energy, oil & gas, engineering & construction, utilities & power equipment, building products, capital equipment, packaging, and transportation & logistics.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Daniel was a senior client partner at another leading executive search firm. For more than 6 years, he was responsible for building a practice running senior management assignments in capital equipment manufacturing, the power and energy sector and more generally, across the industrial sector ranging from material handling to packaging, and transportation & logistics. Daniel has experience working with local public and privately-owned clients in The Netherlands, as well as clients across Europe, the U.S. and emerging markets in Asia. Previously, he has worked on senior executive roles in the technology domain as well as in a boutique where he did numerous roles in software, IT services and equipment, and telecommunications.
Throughout his career, Daniel has been recognized for identifying and qualifying talent in the market accurately. He is particularly knowledgeable about the development of the supply chain, IT and innovation (R&D).
Daniel earned a master's degree in political science and international relations from the University of Amsterdam and a BA in international business management from the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam. Daniel speaks Dutch, English, Spanish, and Portuguese and is conversational in French and German.
