Louise Hogan is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Melbourne office and a member of the global Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice.
Louise has extensive global and regional experience, helping clients to drive transformational change, and building high-performing organizations and leadership teams across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices and healthcare sectors. Her portfolio of placements includes roles in research and development, medical and commercial functions. Louise also works with government and not-for-profit organizations.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, she was vice president Asia Pacific in a leading global contract research organization (CRO) that provided Phase I to Phase IV clinical development services for the biopharmaceutical and medical device industry. In this role she was responsible for business development capabilities across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia Pacific region. She specialized in advising clients on issues related to the strategy, design and implementation of research initiatives.
Louise has also held roles at GlaxoSmithKline spanning corporate strategy, business planning, policy and business design. While in these roles she was responsible for leading a long-range strategic foresight program identifying alternative futures for the Australian healthcare industry.
Louise has earned a BS (clinical) from the University of South Australia, an MBA from the University of Adelaide, and has studied strategic foresight at Swinburne University, Melbourne.
