Chris Uhrinek is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Singapore office and a member of Heidrick Consulting where he advises senior management teams on leadership and organizational effectiveness. He has more than a decade of experience designing and implementing performance interventions for large corporate and private equity clients, spanning strategic alignment, M&A, digital transformation, leadership assessment and development, and top team effectiveness.

Since joining Heidrick & Struggles, Chris has worked with clients across six continents and in 2019, moved to Singapore to launch the Heidrick Consulting practice in APAC. Chris writes and speaks frequently on agile leadership, managing disruption, and building the capabilities needed to enable digital transformation and innovation.

Previously, Chris was a principal with Decision Strategies International (DSI), a boutique strategy and leadership advisory firm with deep roots in behavioral sciences, acquired by Heidrick & Struggles in 2016. During his time at DSI, he worked closely with senior management teams to drive scenario-based strategic planning initiatives that enable organizations to become more agile in times of uncertainty and identify the capabilities and investments needed for future success.

Previously, Chris worked in PwC’s healthcare industries advisory practice where he focused on customer interaction strategy and operations. He helped companies, primarily in the life sciences industries, understand their data assets and design novel business models or engage their customers in new digital ways.

While living in the United States, Chris served for nearly a decade as the president and chairman of the board of Minds Matter of Philadelphia, Inc., a non-profit organization helping high achieving high school students from low-income families achieve academic excellence and gain admissions to leading universities. He also served as a director on the board of Minds Matter, Inc., the umbrella organization for the national network of chapters in 14 cities across the U.S. and was a member of the Carnegie Mellon University Admissions Council.

Education:

Chris earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS degree in mechanical and biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
