Overview
Dr. Hailong Xu is a partner in Heidrick & Struggle’s Beijing office and a member of the Industrial Practice. He has more than 25 years of progressive international experience with Fortune 500 companies.
Experience
Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Hailong worked with prominent multi-national corporations in various functions and geographies, with increasing responsibilities. These include R&D, technology marketing and sales, new business development, including setting up joint ventures, government relations and external affairs, as well as overall country leadership. Before that, Hailong was the group vice president and managing director in China for the Toronto- and New York-listed Eldorado Gold Corp., managing Eldorado’s China operations of more than 3,000 people. His international experience covers UK, The Netherlands, Germany, China, South Africa, and North America.
In addition to many years working with traditional industrial companies, Hailong has deep insights in utilizing new ICT technologies to transform traditional businesses in the digital era. He is also an expert and an investor in renewable energy.
