Steven Baumruk is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Washington, D.C. and Miami offices and global sector leader of the Aerospace, Defense, & Space sector. His sector expertise spans various verticals, including OEM manufacturers, system integrators, defense electronics & aerospace, aviation, and government service providers.
Experience
Steven has more than 18 years of executive search experience and more than a decade working with clients across aerospace, defense, aviation, and spaceflight, placing high-impact CEOs and key change leaders across public and privately-owned platforms ranging from high-growth to special situations in need of a turnaround.
He frequently advises aerospace, defense, and government (ADG)-oriented private equity sponsors and investment groups on due diligence, acquisition support, and succession mapping ahead of a deal close.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Steven led the aerospace and defense team at another global executive search firm, where he helped found their space practice in 2020. He was formerly a managing director at an aerospace and space-focused advisory firm.
