Dan Cullen is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Singapore office and regional managing partner of the global Technology & Services Practice in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.


Dan has experience facilitating senior leadership and organizational transformation across the technology landscape in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. He focuses on software leadership, working with both leading large-scale organizations and growth entrants to the region to build and transform their go-to-market functions.

Dan also specializes in private equity and venture capital investments in cloud, digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies. This advisory work has involved board builds and C-suite executive level hiring and assessment.

Dan’s areas of expertise center on APAC SaaS, the B2C tech market in Southeast Asia, and high growth markets in data centers, fiber, and towers. He has also engaged with global and regional funds as they build capabilities in technology coverage across operating partners and investment growth.

Dan is passionate about ESG and board governance in Singapore, playing key roles in advising and supporting organizations as they address critical issues such as board diversity and sustainability. Dan is particularly interested in green issues within the tech landscape.

Previously, Dan was the partner in charge of the Heidrick & Struggles Singapore office from 2017 through 2022. Before that, Dan worked with a subsidiary of a large global executive search firm in London and Singapore as a senior associate as well as head of research in Asia.

Dan is a qualified barrister-at-law.


Wadham College, Oxford University, Bachelor’s Degree in Modern History, with Honors
