Christianne Garofalo

Overview

Christianne Garofalo is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ San Francisco office, West Coast leader of Heidrick Consulting, and head of the Diversity & Inclusion Practice in the Americas. For more than 20 years, she has helped organizations activate talent by using cutting-edge practices that engage, retain, and deploy an organization’s most valuable resource—it’s people.

Experience

Christianne has spent the last 10 years, primarily focused on Diversity & Inclusion, challenging organizations to move from well-intentioned to intentional about creating an environment where 100% of the talent contributes and thrives. She works across the value proposition of D&I for clients – from creating D&I strategies and roadmaps to designing custom programs for an inclusive culture, and to coaching leaders to lead more inclusively.

She also focuses on individual assessment, executive coaching, and working with top teams to accelerate their performance. She provides a healthy challenge to leaders across a wide-variety of industries including oil & gas, technology, consumer, and industrial. Her goal is to always exceed expectations in thought leadership, participant experience, and business impact.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Christianne was a senior partner for 12 years at another executive search firm in San Francisco where she built a dream account that grew from $0 to nearly $40M and continues to provide sustainable highly-profitable revenue for the firm.

As a global account leader, she built a holistic talent system where executive coaching, assessment, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and competencies activated a long-term talent impact. In addition, she coached and assessed high performing individuals who needed to translate strategy into action and execute against lofty goals. She was also the advisory account lead for their largest integrated account sale that incorporated executive search, advisory, and recruitment process outsourcing.

Before that, Christianne worked at Right Management supporting clients with outplacement, coaching, and organizational consulting. Early in her career, she co-owned a coaching, training, and consulting firm for five years and as a result, she intimately understands the importance of business results and talent development for an organization’s sustainability.
