Tej Singh Hazra

Overview

Tej Hazra is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Toronto office and a member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Practice. He has more than 16 years of regional and global DE&I strategy design, delivery, and program evolvement. Tej’s intentional approach to his work is designed to drive clients’ business and organizational mandates where profit and purpose are central to the company, its people, and the communities in which they operate.

Experience

Tej has designed and implemented open-minded leadership development, intentional talent acquisition strategies, targeted employee advancement and retention programs, and established brand marketplace integrity. His extensive regulatory experience played a role in HSBC Bank Canada being recognized by the federal government for its outstanding achievements in employment equity.

While at IBM, Tej managed the global emerging issues response team, accountable for managing real-time global and regional DE&I issues extending to cultural, regulatory, and faith-based nuances in the company’s major and emerging markets.

He serves on the board of directors of the Abilities Center, a community hub, research lab, and inclusion incubator delivering programs and leading research and advocacy on inclusion for those with different abilities. He is a founding partner of Saffron Press, an independent, socially conscious publishing press committed to cultivating a place for stories to grow and creating stories to inspire little citizens of change.
