Thomas Ho is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Houston office and leads the Energy Practice in the Americas. His executive search work includes board and C-level assignments across the energy value chain within corporations, financial institutions, and private equity.


Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Thomas was with another global executive search firm executing senior-level placements within energy corporations, financial institutions, private equity, and broader industrial sectors. His assignments spanned positions including C-Suite, operations, business development, M&A, financial officers, investment professionals within corporate, and investment banking. Earlier, Thomas spent five years in the financial services sector with both UBS and Goldman Sachs.

Prior to joining the corporate world, Thomas had a nine-year career as a professional tennis player. He still holds the record as the youngest player to compete in the US. Open at 15 years old. In 1995, he reached a career ranking high of 85th in singles and 7th as a team in doubles. He was inducted into the Florida Tennis Hall of Fame in 2011.

Thomas recently ended a decade on the board of the United States Tennis Association where he served as vice president and secretary-treasurer for the 2019-2020 term and was a member of the audit, budget, compensation, and investment committees.
