Overview

Dr. Sane Moleko is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Johannesburg office and a member of Heidrick Consulting. She focuses on leadership consulting and advisory work across all industry sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa with an interest in diversity and inclusion, and leadership assessment for development. Sane has more than 14 years’ experience as a human resources professional in corporate organizations within financial services and broadcasting.

Experience

As an industrial psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), she has worked as a human capital generalist across the end-to-end human capital value chain, specializing in talent management and organizational development.

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Sane was the divisional head of human capital for the global markets division at Rand Merchant Bank and a member of both the human capital and global markets executive teams, responsible for developing and driving the global markets human capital strategy. She managed a team of human capital business partners and specialists with the global markets business operations spanning across Africa, London, and India. Her portfolio included the RMB Morgan Stanley joint venture.

Prior to that, Sane was the divisional head of human resources for the wealth management (Africa) division within the wealth cluster at Nedbank including Nedgroup Trust, Nedbank Financial Planning, Nedbank Private Wealth, and Nedbank Private Wealth Stockbrokers. Leading a team of HR professionals across multiple regions, she was responsible for developing and leading the human resources strategy to support the divisional strategic objectives. She was a member of both the wealth cluster human resources leadership team and the wealth management divisional committee.

She began her career at Nedbank as an organizational development specialist, leading and managing organizational development for the wealth management (Africa) division. She designed, developed, implemented, and monitored interventions aligned to key strategic initiatives, ensuring that business units within the division and Nedbank Wealth achieved their strategic and transformational objectives and had the ability to sustain themselves over the long term.

Sane began her career at MultiChoice where she held various roles within the human resources function. She joined as an industrial psychology intern and went on to fill roles including human resources officer, human resources consultant with specialization in talent management, and human resources business partner.
