Cheryl Stokes


Cheryl Stokes is partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of Heidrick Consulting. For more than 25 years she has helped leaders effectively address challenges in the global business environment. She has designed and delivered numerous senior level programs, facilitating face-to-face and virtually in the areas of leadership, strategy, inclusion, productive dialogue, systemic thinking, and other organizational learning disciplines.


Cheryl has designed and delivered programs for clients in numerous industries, including financial services, healthcare and life sciences, high tech, energy and mining, defense and aerospace, and others.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Cheryl was the regional managing director for Duke Corporate Education’s European operations, where she set the strategic direction, managing business growth and profitability, building brand awareness, and developing the organization’s capability to execute its strategy. Under her leadership, the region enjoyed its strongest growth and profitability in Duke CE history.

Previously, Cheryl was director of organization capability for The Coca-Cola Company, where she worked with the company and the bottling system across Europe, Russia, Latin America, and the Philippines. Her diverse background also includes work in engineering, metallurgy, quality, and diversity for the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa), and assignments in product engineering and vehicle simulation for General Motors Corporation.
