Experience
Charul began his executive search career over 18 years ago as a generalist, working across all sectors. Over the last decade, he has focused on consumer technology, software, semiconductor, IoT, convergence, telecommunications, and professional services. Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, he was the managing partner and key shareholder of a regional retained boutique executive search firm.
Over the years, he has conducted more than 300 successful executive search projects and has advised Fortune 500 companies, global software companies, explosive and disruptive technology-enabled startups, transforming consulting & professional services firms, evolving content creation companies, data-enabled telecom service providers, and organizations that are leveraging digital, big data, and horizon three technologies to lead in their market segment. He has also developed specialist expertise in board, CEO, CTO, chief digital officer, chief data officer, CTO, product and engineering leaders, evangelists, HR, finance, and general counsel search mandates, as well as on handling diversity & inclusion-focused projects.
Prior to his career in executive search, Charul was the co-founder of an Indo-Swiss joint venture. The company was a pioneer in India’s transportation sector in the space of automated level crossings and worker safety protection solutions and products. He is currently also an active angel investor and has invested in a few companies in their early stage, giving him the opportunity to sit on their boards.
