Jackie Zavitz is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Philadelphia office and a member of the Education, Non-Profit and Social Enterprise Practice. She is focused on searches for leadership transitions in non-profit organizations and public and private institutions, with significant experience in placing presidents and chancellors, provosts and deans, and finance and administration leadership.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Jackie was a principal in the global educational practice with another executive search firm. She spent eight years at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she served in a number of senior roles in the administration, including as a senior member of the MBA Admissions Committee before her career in search. Jackie developed and spearheaded several successful initiatives to expand the school’s admissions into new international markets and industries. Jackie later served as chief of staff to the deputy dean of the school. She started her career with the Electric Power Supply Association where she did regulatory lobbying.
Jackie serves on the Board of the Council for Relationships, a non-profit organization that provides relationship counseling and clinical training in the Philadelphia area. Jackie is a recipient of The Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders, given by The Forum of Executive Women in Philadelphia.
Jackie earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the American University in Washington, DC, and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania.
