Overview
Martin Holm is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Copenhagen and Stockholm offices and regional managing partner of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice for Europe and Africa. He co-leads the Medical Technology sector and is a member of the Industrial, Private Equity, and Corporate Officers practices. He works with clients across a broad set of industries, with specific expertise in medical technology and devices, biotech, (bio)pharma, diagnostics, digital health, and industrial biosolutions.
Experience
Martin specializes in CEO succession, C-suite and strategic executive searches and board mandates, as well as management assessment and development programs, working with European and global company clients, including Fortune 500, private equity- and venture capital-backed companies, as well as small- and medium-sized public and private companies.
Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Martin was a partner in the life sciences practice of another global executive search firm, a board member, and a strategic advisor to PE and VC-backed companies. He began his career in management consulting and has since worked with some of the world’s leading companies in medical technology and biopharmaceuticals.
Martin has lived and worked for 15+ years in Europe, the United States, and Latin America, working in P&L leadership roles, including regional head of both EMEA and Latin America, managing director, and in various headquarters leadership roles.

Philanthropy and Service
In 2002, Martin co-founded the CBS Case Competition, a world-class global business challenge with the vision to nurture today’s talent into tomorrow’s leaders. He has served over several periods as a volunteer in Africa with the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana and in Ghana engaging with the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies.
