Sunny Ackerman

Sunny Ackerman is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Dallas office and the global managing partner of On-Demand Talent, leading on-demand solutions globally. She is a visionary leader with strong insights into the future of work and experience scaling innovative workforce solutions.

Sunny came to Heidrick & Struggles after working for two years as president of the Americas at SThree, a global talent partner specializing in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), catering to various industries, including banking and finance, life sciences, technology, energy, engineering, and creative.

Before that, she was the president of the Americas at Frank Recruitment Group, a multi-brand global technology recruitment business in the U.S. U.K., Asia, and Australia. There, Sunny helped expand the business throughout the Americas, steered the development and execution of the corporate strategy, and led a 760+ sales and delivery team in creating solutions for customers’ complex business challenges in the technology recruiting space.

Sunny spent 15 years in several executive leadership positions at ManpowerGroup, including senior vice president and general manager. She led North America's largest business unit, which had 2000 employees and $1.5B in revenue. Sunny was the architect of ManpowerGroup's Affordable Care Act strategy and launched the Group's successful enterprise and permanent solutions business in North America.

Sunny was named to Staffing Industry Analyst’s “Staffing 100” list in 2022 and 2023 and is a five-time honoree on SIA’s “Global Power 150 Women in Staffing” list. She was also named to D Magazine’s “Dallas 500, Most Influential Leaders in Texas” list and a Women Impact Tech Conference awardee in 2022, among other awards.

Sunny is dedicated to furthering women’s interests in the workplace and creating career pipelines for underrepresented groups. She serves on the board of directors at TechServe Alliance and the Leadership Council at the Women Business Collaborative.
