Spencer Badesch is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York City office and a member of the global Financial Services Practice, focusing on senior executive talent across consumer finance, payments, and consumer banking.
Experience
Spencer works with clients on board, CEO, and other C-suite searches across consumer finance, payments, and consumer banking, working with global and regional banks, FinTechs, and private equity-backed platforms. He prioritizes recruiting senior leaders who can lead through growth, change, and increasing technological complexity.
Spencer’s experience spans the consumer finance ecosystem, including mortgage, auto lending, credit cards, specialty finance, and retail and small business banking. He recruits board directors, CEOs, P&L leaders, and senior executives across technology, operations, and go-to-market functions.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Spencer worked at Bridgewater Associates, where he recruited senior investment and management professionals and served as chief of staff to the chief operating officer.
